April 24 marks the 100th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide, considered to be the first genocide of the modern era.  The execution of more than 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire lead to the Armenian diaspora.  Today, many Armenians and Amrenian Americans have settled in the communities served by NLSLA.  The Dickran Tevrizian Fellowship was established by NLSLA in 2009 to provide an Armenian-speaking fellow to serve this community.
