Dickran Tevrizian Fellowship Program

Created in 2009, the fellowship honors retired U.S. District Court Judge Dickran Tevrizian for his lifetime of service to the Armenian-American community, dedication to mentoring and training new lawyers, and commitment to helping impoverished communities.

The fellowship provides Armenian-speaking law school graduates an opportunity to help low-income families in the City of Glendale and surrounding communities access the justice system. Each fellow works with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County for two years.

Los Angeles County is home to the largest Armenian community outside the Republic of Armenia. The Dickran Tevrizian Fellow works closely with advocates throughout the County to identify and address the legal needs of low-income residents through research, community education and legal representation.
