Legal Services for Fire Survivors

NLSLA is here to help you with legal needs related to the Woolsey Fire. Our attorneys and professionals are available to advise and assist individuals with problems with FEMA, unemployment, welfare, food stamps, medical insurance, landlord-tenant problems, mobile home issues, and other civil legal needs.

NLSLA will also be coordinating private attorneys who can provide other free legal assistance including: insurance claims, taxes and assistance with the small business administration loan process.

FRAUD ALERT:

The State Bar of California is warning of potential fraud in the wake of the fires. Consumers must carefully check that people offering legal services are legitimate and licensed to provide such services.

CRISIS COUNSELING:

Fire survivors seeking immediate crisis counseling can call the Disaster Distress Helpline at 800-985-5990. Survivors can also text TalkWithUs to 66746 to connect with a trained crisis counselor.
