Elizabeth Brown is the Director of Human Resources for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County. Her areas of responsibility include guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs to NLSLA; developing talent management strategies (i.e., recruitment, hiring, training, professional development, workforce planning); and organizational development and change management.

Elizabeth plays an integral role on the Senior Management Team by providing recommendations to improve NLSLA’s operational effectiveness and further its talent development goals.

Elizabeth has more than 20 years of experience in HR management across diverse industries, including retail and information technology, as well as the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining NLSLA, Elizabeth served as Director of Human Resources at The Frostig Center in Pasadena, CA, where she executed all core HR functions in addition to helping build and restructure operations. She also provided strategic HR support and helped drive growth initiatives across the organization, partnering with The Frostig School, Development, Community Outreach, Clinical, Research, and Finance.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resource Management from the University of Alabama. She is a member of Professionals in Human Resources Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a former trustee of the Western Alliance Trust Fund.
